Concur Data Warehouse Reporting

Overview

To assist U-M employees utilizing the Travel & Expense (Concur) system or conducting M-Pathways Statement of Activity reconciliation duties, several Concur folders and BusinessObjects reports have been added to the Financials Data Set in the FN06 Universe. Data includes profile information, employee role information, and expense line detail for personal expenses. Personal expense data was included as the Concur Standard Accounting Extract summarizes these expenses at a level which is sometimes difficult to interpret on the M-Pathways system voucher or Statement of Activity.

Which folders have been added?

The Procurement Universe now contains the following Concur folders:

  1. The Travel and Expense folder, which contains three sub-folders.
  2. The Employee Expense Profile & Delegate folder, which contains two sub-folders.
  3. The Employee Expense Role, which contains information about the role(s) held by any U-M employee in relation to travel or expense report responsibilities.

What pre-defined BusinessObjects reports have been created?

Five pre-defined BusinessObjects reports have been created, including:

  • FN06 Procurement Travel and Expense Workflow Audit Report - produces a report of the steps taken in the review and approval of expense reports.
  • FN06 Procurement Travel and Expense Employee Profile - produces a report of each departmental employee’s profile settings in the Travel & Expense system.
  • FN06 Procurement Travel and Expense Employee Roles - produces a report of the roles assigned to each departmental employee in the Travel & Expense system.
  • FN06 Procurement Travel and Expense Approved Expense Reports - produces a report of all departmental approved expense reports.
  • FN06 Procurement Travel and Expense PCard Transaction Personal Expense Adjustments - produces a report with additional financial detail for expense reports containing transactions on employee PCards with all or part of expenses marked as personal.  Designed to support reconciliation activities, as personal transactions may alter accounting entries when transmitted to the M-Pathways Financials system (e.g. personal entries are subtracted from expense totals, and full accounting detail is not available in the standard accounting extract).

Who has access to this data?

Current Financials Data Set and FN06 users have access to the new tables.

How can I obtain access to this data?

Employees desiring Financials Data Set access need to work with their Financials Unit Liaison to request the role through the Online Access Request System (OARS) process.
